Role: Design + Creative Direction
Xero's About us section comprises almost 30 different pages which cover a wide range of different aspects of what the company is, what it does, and how it wants to be seen by its different stakeholder groups. It needs to instill trust in prospective customers, excite future job applicants, and inform and satisfy Xero's investors.
I was asked to design the whole thing, and in doing so, help set the direction for other parts of Xero.com.
The aesthetic I developed had to work well with the other parts of xero.com, while still looking visually appealing and having a distinctive personalit that matched the culture of Xero. At its heart, Xero is still a feisty and rebellious startup, determined to make an awesome product for small businesses, doing it better than anyone else. I didn't want to lose that plucky energy.
